How to use the dead pixel test
A dead pixel test works best when the screen is clean, brightness is set to a comfortable level, and the browser is in fullscreen mode. Cycle through white, black, red, green, and blue screens so each sub-pixel has a chance to reveal a defect.

How to read the result
A true dead pixel usually appears black on bright backgrounds because it does not emit light.
A stuck pixel often appears red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, or yellow depending on which sub-pixel is stuck on.
A hot pixel stays bright on black screens and may be easier to see in a dark room.
